Made with Australia's finest sheep's wool, this quilt contains the highest grade Australian wool. It's filled with 100% Australian wool and covered with 100% white cotton japara fabric. The wool in this quilt has a natural drape so it wraps around the body without effort. Available in 3 GSM's (grams per square meter) suitable for summer, winter and all year round.
The 500GSM quilt has the warmth of 3.5 blankets and the weight of 3-4 blankets.

This quilt is dry clean only and regular outdoor airing is recommended.

Everyone seems to look for the lightest possible quilt, but I’m the complete opposite. I love that cocooning, substantial feeling of a proper wool quilt - the feeling of being gently hugged when you get into bed - and Golden Quilts does that better than anything else I’ve tried.
This is now my fourth Golden Quilts quilt over the years. I started with a Double, moved to a Queen and now have a Super King, and the older ones are still going strong. In between, I tried a few different brands because I honestly thought 100% wool at 500 GSM would more or less feel the same. Turns out it absolutely doesn’t. The type and quality of the wool, how it’s processed and what it’s combined with make a huge difference to the weight, drape and overall feel.
Golden Quilts has that beautiful substantial feel without feeling uncomfortable - it just settles around you and gives that proper cocooning feeling I love. I genuinely can’t imagine buying another brand now.
I’ve always owned the 500 GSM because I love the weight and warmth, and I use it for most of the year. I’d really love to try the 350 GSM for Sydney summer so I can keep that same beautiful wool drape and hugged feeling with a little less warmth.
